Appleply©
ApplePly, made by States Industries, is a premium quality veneer core panel constructed from uniform laminations of solid grade 1/16" Alder and Birch. This all hardwood core produces a strong, lightweight panel with a minimum number of voids and a naturally attractive edge. The multi-ply construction give this product excellent machining capabilities. Appleply can also be purchased as a Prefinished panel. Call us for available sizes.

Baltic/Russian Birch
Birch panels imported from Baltic region of Europe. These panels offer a consistent core with few voids and boast white maple faces and backs. Panel faces are simply graded as “B” or “BB” based on some use of veneer patched to virtually eliminate heavy knots in the veneer. Honerkamp carried “B/BB” and “BB/BB” panels in stock in 5’x5’ panels and some 4’x8’ panels in ¾” thick material. Stocked thicknesses range from ¼” up to 1” thick panels. Select sizes are also available in Prefinished Panels.

Bending Plywood
If you have a bending or curved ply wood need, we have Lauan & Italian poplar from 1/8” to 5/8” thick. Bending panels are available in 4 x 8 or 8 x 4 configurations depending on how you need the panel to bend.

China Birch
A white birch panel produces in China offers an inexpensive option in hardwoods plywood panels. Offerend in ¼”, ½”, & ¾” thicknesses of 4x8 panels.

Hardwood Import Panels
Honerkamp has several hardwood species panels available from overseas in unfinished & Prefinished panels.

MDO – Medium Density Overlay
MDO panels offer consistent quality and dependability. This product combines the strength of high quality plywood with tough overlays to give you superior surface performance and long life. MDO panels are made of high quality, exterior-grade plywood with the same adhesives used in marine plywood. The Medium Density Overlay is a fiber sheet that has been treated with a resin formula for optimal paint adhesion. Available in 4’x8’ panels.

Lauan
Lauan plywood panels are available in 4 x 8 panels in a variety of thicknesses: 2.7mm (1/8”), 5.2mm (1/4”), 9mm (3/8”), 12mm (1/2”), 15.0mm (5/8”), and 18.0mm (3/4”). Meranti and Faviera Lauan are imported and sized metrically – nominal standard measurements are in parenthesis. Honerkamp also has a Lumber core lauan panel in 18.0mm.

Lamacore
A good substrate for high-pressure laminate applications. Available in 4 x 8, 4 x 10, 5 x 8, and 5 x 10 panels are all available in 18mm (3/4” nom.) Lamacore is available as a fire retardant panel in certain sizes.

Okoume
Okoume is a similar and interchangeable product to the Lauan panels offered also in 5.2mm (1/4”), 12mm (1/2”), and 18.0mm (3/4”). A good product for casework and box building.

Platform Cores
Honerkamp keeps in stock a variety of platform cores ready to receive the desired face and back veneers of choice. Platforms are available as Fire-rated panels. Platform cores are also available in FSC® certified stock material – ask us for more details.

Fire Retardant Panels – Class 1 Rated
When your specifications call for a fire retardant solution, Honerkamp has the stocked panels to help you. We carry the following types of fire retardant panels and can source from out mill any number of variations you need. Fire retardant “fire letters” are available for documentation at the time of the sale.
